Tebea's career so far...
Described by Classsic FM as ‘challenging perceptions of the instrument’ Tabea is constantly exploring the horizons of music for recorder and has performed widely in Europe, Asia and the USA. This season her programmes include music based around sight, hearing and the passage of time, ranging from baroque to contemporary. She returns to Wigmore Hall, and gives recitals across the UK and Germany. In 2020 she makes her debut at the Sanguine Estate Music Festival in Australia, and records for Delphian. Over the last year Tabea has undertaken a tour of Colombia, and given recitals at the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Saffron Hall, the Bath, Ryedale, Ripon and Lammermuir Festivals. She took part in LSO Soundhub and released her fourth CD for Tyxart.
Previous highlights include recitals at Konzerthaus Vienna, the Schleswig Holstein, Edinburgh International, Musica Antiqua Bolzano, the York, Brighton & London Early Music Festivals. She has collaborated with Iestyn Davies, Rachel Podger, Lawrence Cummings, the Dunedin Consort and English Concert, and appeared as soloist with the La Serenissima, English Chamber Orchestra and WDR Rundfunkchor. Tabea was selected by YCAT in 2018.
